IDP Travel Funds |
|
Each advanced IDP student (second year and beyond) is eligible to receive one award of up to $300 per year to support travel to a scientific meeting or conference if they are presenting an abstract (poster or oral presentation). Funds may be used to pay for travel and meeting expenses, such as airfare, hotel, registration fees, and meals.
As of July 1, 2008, to apply for these funds, please complete and IDP "Travel Request by Graduate Students" form (Word document), and submit it to the Office of Graduate Education, preferably 6 weeks before the date of travel. Please be sure to attach a copy of all submitted abstracts.
Please note that your department must complete the paperwork to pay for your trip. The $300 award will be transferred to the department handing the travel paperwork.
Residual travel funds from before July 2008 may be available in the departments. Please contact your Advanced Concentration Director for more information.
Additional support for graduate student travel is available from Research & Graduate Programs and the Graduate Student Council. All students are strongly encouraged to apply for these funds. For more information, please see the Graduate School web page for graduate student travel support.
