CTS predoctoral trainees will be expected to participate in the following courses during the 2009-2010 academic year.

 

Summer B, 2009

GMS 7093, Introduction to Clinical & Translational Research (begins July 15)

Fall, 2009

GMS 6893, Clinical & Translational Science Seminar Series (2 credits)

Spring, 2010

GMS 7003, Responsible Conduct of Biomedical Research (1 credit)
GMS 6931, Ethical, Regulatory & Practical Conduct of Clinical Research (1 credit)

CTS Multidisciplinary Practicum

 

Advanced elective courses are available relevant to CTS, communication skills and professional development.

 

CTS students and mentors will be expected to prepare a hypothesis-driven dissertation project that reflects both laboratory-based and patient-oriented clinical and/or translational research. Students will be co-mentored by at least one basic scientist and one clinician scientist, serving as the Chair and Co-Chair of the student’s graduate supervisory committee.
