Graduate Education Advisory Council to the Associate Dean for Graduate Education:
The Graduate Education Advisory Council consists of the College of Medicine basic science department chairpersons and the chair of the Oral Biology Department of the College of Dentistry, and is chaired by the Associate Dean for Graduate Education. This council is involved in overall policy decisions for the IDP, including policies that relate to education quality such as changes in the curriculum and enrollment of faculty from other Colleges in the IDP. The council meets on a monthly basis.
Advisory Board to Associate Dean for Graduate Education
The Advisory Board is a faculty committee that is chaired by the Associate Dean for Graduate Education. This Board is made up of the Directors of the Advanced Programs, Chair of the Graduate Studies and Admissions Committees, directors of other relevant training programs, ad-hoc faculty members, up to three senior graduate students (Graduate Student Organization), and the Senior Associate Deans for Research Affairs and Educational Affairs. The panel meets on a monthly basis, and discusses issues that directly influence the quality of education, such as the curriculum, development of joint degree programs with other colleges, formation of student- and faculty-run seminar series and coordination of student research presentations.
