*Note to all male UF employees who are U.S. citizens between the ages of 18 and 26: A condition of your employment at UF is compliance with Section 110.1128 of the Florida Statutes, which requires registration with the Selective Service. Academic Personnel is now requiring that Departments provide verification of registration (which they can do on-line) before new appointments or appointment changes are approved by that office. This includes graduate assistants and faculty appointments. You do not have to do anything other than register. See Verification of Registration with Selective Service memo for more info.
*Change in GatorLink policy: Official UF business e-mail will be communicated to students using the UF GatorLink e-mail account, i.e. "GatorLinkUserName@ufl.edu". The preferred e-mail address recorded for all students will be the GatorLink address, which is displayed in the UF online phonebook. Students may continue to use the forwarding mechanism to deliver their e-mail to other mail services, but it is their responsibility to ensure that the forwarding address is current so that they receive official communications from UF.
