The University of Florida Medical Guild
is seeking
applications for the 2002-2003
Research Incentive Awards. Approximately ten awards will be made to
fund graduate student research projects for up to $500 each. Application
deadline October 31st.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2003 Christine
Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Internship Program
of the National Academies, designed to engage graduate students in the analysis and creation of science and technology policy and to familiarize them with the interactions of science, technology, and
government. Application deadlines: November 1 for Winter
program; March 1 for Summer program; June 1 for Fall program.

Research Fellowships: Application deadline
November 7th.
Eligibility: 1st and 2nd year students, US citizens, with basic research
projects that are not directly aimed at human disease.

US citizens and permanent residents who are not yet Florida residents should
file a "Request for Change in Residency Status" with UF to become a
